I love these Frozen Taquitos in the Air Fryer because they make a quick and easy appetizer, snack or even light dinner. They can be customized with your favorite toppings and sauces or enjoy them plain.

Frozen taquitos come in a variety of different flavors (beef, chicken, bean and cheese) and tortillas. You can air fryer them all! I love using my air fryer for frozen food products because they get super crispy and crunchy and cooks way faster than a normal oven and with no oil.

I love using my air fryer for quick meals and snacks and highly recommend my Frozen Toasted Ravioli in Air Fryer.

Expert Tips

  • Don't Skip Preheating – It is recommended for best results when cooking your food.
  • Make sure there is Plenty of Space! - It's tempting to pack as many taquitos as possible into your air fryer. But, don't overcrowd or stack taquitos as air fryers need room to circulate air around to get them fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Cooking Time Can Vary - Not all air fryers and taquitos are the same! You may to watch your food closely toward the end of the cooking cycle. Also, corn tortillas with crisp up differently than flour and all taquitos are not the same size, you maybe need to adjust your time by a minute or two depending on these factors. Cook in batches if needed!

Recipe FAQs

What can I serve with these Frozen Taquitos in the Air Fryer?

You could pair them with rice, refried or black beans, fresh fruit or fruit salad, or corn or even elote. I think a refreshing and simple avocado and tomato salad would create a really nice balanced meal.

Do you need to thaw first?

Nope! You don't need to thaw. Keep them in the freezer and then grab a handful when pre-heating is done.

Do I need to use any oil?

I think this is optional for you and your uses. Personally, one of my favorite things about the air fryer is being able to cook oil free and still getting that crispy texture. Some manufacturers suggest using a little bit of oil so I think that is really up to you.
