Valentine's Day is almost here! And, when I think of Valentine's Day I think of chocolate fondue. Maybe, it's because my first job was at a premiere chocolate shop. Or, because my family always celebrated the holidays with fondue. So, I knew I wanted to do a fondue with my other favorite food obsession — cookie butter. My cookie butter love started with Trader Joe's and these cookie butter bars. So, it only seemed fair to make fondue and all the accompaniments from Trader Joe's too.

This Trader Joe's Chocolate Cookie Butter Fondue is served with unique dippers like brookies (brownie and cookie bars), waffle sugar cookies, chocolate babka (sweet braided bread) and coconut macaroons. But, for traditional fondue lovers, there's fresh strawberries, slices of bananas and salty pretzels. You'll want to dive into this luscious dessert with your valentine. No reservations or fondue pot required.

You only need 3 ingredients and 10 minutes to make a delicious chocolate cookie butter fondue for any and all occasions!

Ingredient Notes

  • Chocolate – choose milk or dark chocolate in either chocolate chips, chunk or bar form. I buy the $5 5 lb. bars at Trader Joe's and hand chop the chocolate. It's perfect for this fondue, brownies and cookies.
  • Heavy whipping cream – this adds a creamy, rich texture.
  • Cookie Butter – use Trader Joe's or Biscoff brand. This adds a rich, creamy and a bit of gingerbread spice flavor.

  2. Serve fondue warm with your favorite foods to dip in!

Expert Tips

  • Slow and steady! Don't increase the temperature. Melt your chocolate and cookie butter at low - low medium temperature to ensure even melting. This recipe doesn't take long to make so don't try and rush it.
  • Put the FUN in Fondue! The best part of fondue are all the dippers. Trader Joe's has SOOOO many amazing options for fun dippers like brookies, a brownie and chocolate chip bar, butter waffle cookies, coconut macaroons, and chocolate Brooklyn Babka. More traditional dippers are strawberries, bananas, pretzels, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Just make your dippers are prepped before you make the fondue to ensure the fondue stays hot/warm.
