Ingredients

  • 1 & ¼ cup water
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 16 ounces Good & Gather Frozen Passion Fruit Tropical Blend or frozen tropical fruits of your choice*

Instructions

  • Place frozen tropical fruit in a high powered blender or food processor. Set aside to allow time for the fruit to thaw.
  • In a small pan, bring water and sugar to a boil for about 1 minute. Occasionally, whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. You want it at warm to the touch OR room temperature (about 30 minutes).
  • After the simply syrup has cooled, add it to the blender or food processor. Close the lid and blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Then, strain liquid using a fine mess strainer (to remove the seeds) into a large bowl. Use the back of a spoon to help liquid pass through.
  • Pour liquid into the popsicle molds. Making sure to not fill the molds all the way to the top. Attach lid and stick in popsicle sticks. Freeze in the freezer overnight.
Expert Tip - placing the mold in a small baking pan to safely move the molds to the freezer by offering more stability.
  • Remove popsicles from mold when frozen. Eat and enjoy.

Notes

*Different fruits will have slightly different results in taste, color, etc.
Not all popsicles molds are the same. This mixture works perfectly for my mold. You could potentially need more or less depending on what kind of popsicle mold you use.
After removing these popsicles from the popsicle mold, either serve them immediately or store them in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to 1 month.
Use a container/bowl with a spout or a pitcher or funnel for easier pouring into the popsicle mold.
Make sure that you leave a little unfilled space (about ¼- ½ an inch) at the top of the molds to accommodate the liquid slightly expanding in the freezer. This also helps to make it easier when transporting the filled molds to the freezer.
