Valentine's Day Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Valentine's Day Chocolate Covered Pretzels are delicious chocolate covered pretzels loaded with candy and sprinkles for a sweet treat!

Ingredients

  • ~85 mini pretzels (~3 cups)
  • 4 ounces chocolate melting wafers
  • M&Ms
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Heat Ghirardelli Chocolate Melting Wafers according to package. I am using the double boil method. Melt chocolate until smooth and completely melted.
  • Dip half of the pretzels into the chocolate, shake off the access chocolate and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • While the chocolate is still wet, top the pretzels with M&Ms and sprinkles. Press the M&Ms into the chocolate so that they really stick.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature completely before serving.

Notes

Make sure all your equipment is absolutely dry and free from any water droplets, otherwise your chocolate will seize and be grainy.
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy removal of the pretzels and easy cleanup!
Work quickly! The chocolate needs to be wet when adding the M&Ms and sprinkles so they adhere to the pretzels. I usually dip about 5 pretzels at a time and then decorate them immediately.
