Feel like a kid again with this sweet twist on the magic shell! BUT, this time it's packed with cookie butter deliciousness.
When I was younger, I would go to this restaurant, not for dinner but for dessert. I ALWAYS ordered the same thing, a chocolate sundae with french vanilla ice cream, gold brick, and whipped cream. I loved cracking into the magic shell/gold brick and watching it become shards of chocolate. Now at 25, I still have an insatiable sweet tooth. I'm almost certain that most people have had an experience with a magic shell or Elmer's gold brick. Now, there are three major flavors- chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter. Why not add a fourth? Cookie Butter Magic Shell. Best of all, it's only 2 ingredients!
How it this magic? This beautiful glossy sauce hardens on contact with anything cold. This sauce turns any scoop of ice cream into a magical frozen treat! This Cookie Butter Magic Shell recipe could NOT be easier. You take some cookie butter, melt it in the microwave, add some coconut oil, wait a minute or two, pour on cold ice cream, wait for it to harden, and enjoy.
How to Enjoy Cookie Butter Magic Shell
When picking an ice cream to serve this with, you can't go wrong with classic vanilla or decadent chocolate. But, I could see this being great with cookies and cream or caramel or my Cookie Butter Bar Ice Cream. I bet this would even be delicious as a chocolate shell on fudge pops, homemade popsicles, or even ice cream sandwiches. Serve this sauce in a sundae with whipped cream or on top of ice cream with a hot brownie or cookies. The possibilities are endless and delicious.
